Cafes, Restaurants and Wineries The food and wine in the High Country have their own unique flavours - perhaps because the people who grow, bake, pick and crush High Country produce all have a real passion for what they do. Look out for delicious specialties such as Verde olives, chevre cheese and estate bottled olive oils. Smoked trout and locally reared, aged beef are also highlights, as well as the wide range of delicious produce. There are plenty of cafes to fine dining restaurants where you can indulge your own passion for High Country tastes. Established 25 years ago by a local farming family, Delatite is an icon of cold climate wineries in the area. Specialising in aromatics it is open every day and welcomes visitors to try it's wines and relax on the verandah overlooking the entire Mt Buller valley.

Kinloch Wines is a family run vineyard and cellar door offering fine wines and gourmet luncheon platters. The cellar door is a converted hay-barn full of warm hospitality and the views are spectacular, typical of the high country.
